August is National Family Fun Month and Belclaire has several great ideas for you and your family this month. If you’re looking for fun and cool things to do, here are a few from our family to yours!
Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area: Just minutes from the Castle Hills community is LLELA, whose mission is to “preserve and restore native Texas ecosystems and biodiversity while providing opportunities for environmental education, research and recreation.” While August may be too hot for daytime hikes, we love an evening hike! Take a moonlit stroll on Saturday, August 27, with a LLELA tour guide through the woods and across the prairies. What might you hear at night? Maybe the howl of a coyote, hooting owls or a scurrying armadillo! It’s an out-of-the-ordinary experience for the whole family!
Frisco Roughriders: August offers several opportunities to take in a minor league baseball game! The Frisco Roughriders play just minutes from our Belclaire communities. Take the whole family for an evening game and load up on hot dogs and peanuts while you’re there!
Prosper Playhouse: This family destination, just minutes from Windsong Ranch, is an indoor playhouse (for kids) with a café (for mom and dad!). We love the Sip & Shop events every third Thursday because they are fun for both kids and parents. Shop with several local vendors while the kids play and enjoy snacks and an iced latte from one of several local food trucks. The next one is August 19. See you there!
Our Belclaire communities are all family-friendly communities. Their master-planned designs incorporate parks, green space, resort-style pools and trail systems, offering limitless entertainment without ever having to leave home. Their locations also allow for easy access to all kinds of nearby family entertainment options, from natural settings like LLELA to local small businesses like the Prosper Playhouse. We love our community settings and our Belclaire families! And we hope you take advantage of everything around you this National Family Fun Month!
