Our design consultants have decades of combined experience and can help you choose what looks are best for your home and your family. And they are also always up to date on the newest design trends. We spoke with two of our Design Gallery consultants and asked them about what they are anticipating in home design for 2022.
Go for the gold
“One of my favorite design elements is gold finishes,” said Donna Grubbs, Design Gallery director. “Gold finishes in all forms of hardware, from kitchen and bathroom cabinets to doorknobs and light fixtures, are trending and it’s a look we love. Matte black is also trending, as is mixing metals.”
We’re all in knots
“In flooring, we are really liking lighter floors with knots and splits,” said Teri Carter, Design Gallery assistant manager. “This type of distressed wood flooring gives warmth and character to a room.”
Time for a break
“Our buyers love freestanding tubs,” added Donna. “These statement bathtubs generally require a larger bathroom to work, but our primary suites offer that. They are a focal point for the room, offering a modern aesthetic with clean, sleek lines but they also offer a spot in the home to focus on self-care and relaxation, something we all need in 2022!”
What else are our design consultants looking forward to in 2022?
