The holiday season is in full swing and it’s time to get festive! This time of year brings several seasonal events to the Dallas area for the whole family enjoy. From Christmas lights and parades to yummy treats and decorations, there are lots of options to get you and your family in the holiday spirit. Here are just a handful of events that Belclaire recommends:
1. Lewisville Christmas Parade: Head down to Old Town Lewisville for the annual Christmas Parade! This event is on December 4, starts at noon and is free. The whole family can enjoy watching the parade as it moves through the historic and charming Old Town area and features the popular giant Santa float!
2. Christmas in the Square: This event takes place in Frisco from November 26 to December 5. Feel festive with a nightly choreographed Christmas light show. And on the weekends, the whole family can enjoy a carriage ride, an outdoor movie and more!
3. Tree Lighting Celebration: On December 4, at 3:00 p.m., enjoy the Klyde Warren Park Tree Lighting Celebration. This event is free and offers photos with Santa, entertainment and games, painting and other crafts to enjoy! Mrs. Claus will be conducting a story time for the kids and the second act of the Nutcracker Suite will be performed by the award-winning dancers of the Dallas Conservatory! All of this will be wrapped in a bow and completed with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree.
4. Holiday Lights Parade: In downtown Arlington on December 11, the whole family can see the Holiday Lights Parade. Entertainment and festivities start at 2 p.m. and the parade starts at 6. The parade will be followed by the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, a family tradition for many. Get their early and find a great spot for the parade. It’s a popular event and crowds form early!
There is so much to enjoy this holiday season and these are just a few of the many events happening all around us this month.
